All plans include the same features today. Higher tiers unlock additional capacity — and will include operational tools as we ship them. We don't advertise features before they're ready.

VaultRent does not charge extra for compliance, security, auditability, or data correctness. All plans follow the same rules — pricing only reflects scale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about VaultRent

VaultRent is designed for Ontario landlords and follows the structure of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA). We help you track leases, rent due dates, payments, and arrears, and generate organized records you can use if you ever need to file N-forms or attend an LTB hearing. VaultRent does not provide legal advice, but it gives you clean documentation and timelines so you can work more effectively with your own legal counsel.

Yes. VaultRent is built on a zero-trust architecture using row-level security (RLS) at the database level so each landlord only sees their own data. All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS, and data is stored in a hardened, access-controlled environment. We designed VaultRent with PIPEDA in mind, but you are still responsible for how you collect and use tenant information in your own business.

Yes. VaultRent lets you track due dates, record payments, and see which tenants are overdue. You can mark rent as paid, generate PDF receipts, and keep a clear history of partial payments or missed payments. The platform helps you document arrears and follow up consistently, but it does not automatically file LTB forms or contact tenants on your behalf.

No. VaultRent is built first for solo landlords and small portfolios. The Starter plan is optimized for condos, duplexes, and small multi-unit buildings, but the underlying architecture scales to larger portfolios over time. You can start with a few units and grow without switching systems.

No. VaultRent is an administrative and record-keeping tool, not a legal or accounting service. We help you stay organized, keep reliable rent and document history, and reduce mistakes, but you should continue to rely on your own lawyer, paralegal, and accountant for legal, tax, and financial advice.

During the free trial you get full access to the Starter features with no credit card required. After 14 days, you'll be asked to activate a paid subscription to keep using VaultRent. If you choose not to subscribe, your access to the app will be limited, but we'll preserve your core data for a period of time so you can export or come back later.
